What is a Hurricane?
A Hurricane is a tropical storm with high speed winds, the eye of hurricane is calm but the air near the eye is fierce. Now, what is the “eye” of a hurricane? Research states that the eye of a hurricane is actual the centre of the Hurricane itself. Many would think that this part of the Hurricane would be the most fierce, however believe it or not, it is the most calm part of the disaster. The reason for that is simple, the eye is so calm because the strong winds of hurricane die down before the even reach the centre. Hurricanes can cause landslides and can possibly even trigger along with other natural disasters that can devastate local towns and cities due the force it brings. Also, hurricanes have different names according its location. Hurricanes are usually used for the northern atlantic ocean and northeast pacific. Typhoon is used for the northwest of the Pacific. Cyclone is used for India and the southern part of the pacific. Hurricanes that are in the northern hemisphere spin counterclockwise. Hurricanes in the southern hemisphere spin clockwise.
